Imagine the uproar if these kinds of pictures were shown in magazines all the time. But nobody bats a fucking eyelid when we do it to women. Everyone (men (white men)) would be up in arms about ~misandry~ and hypersexualization, but do these dudebro MRAs care that women are subjected to this type of imagery /reversed/ in our own magazines on every second goddamn page? Didn’t think so.

THAT is why these images showing the reversal is important. Dudes will cry “you won’t get people to join your cause if you respond to degradation of your gender by degrading another gender” - no, fuck you. We are sick of the constant hypersexualization, and one photoset relieving us of our plight that makes you uncomfortable is NOTHING compared to what we deal with everyday.

jesusfuck

I don’t know where this is from, but…

Between this and that Toyota commercial-

Man, I hope genderfuckery of this highly attractive magnitude just INVADES popular media until privileged heteronormative cismen who unthinkingly dominate the world around them through objectification of women and shaming of homosexuality are forced to think.

Forced to think because when they see an attractive ass in panties, they can no longer instinctively flap their dicks at it and say, “I’d own that” without having to think about gender or sexuality. Torn between their habit of reflexively objectifying women and gay-shaming themselves and others, they would have no choice but to open their eyes a little wider and actually think about the people they share the world with instead of living in a neverending reel of imagery that reinforces a narrow reality where they are king.

trilliansthoughts:

This miniature ecosystem has been thriving in an almost completely isolated state for more than forty years. It has been watered just once in that time. The original single spiderwort plant has grown and multiplied, putting out seedlings. As it has access to light, it continues to photosynthesize. The water builds up on the inside of the bottle and then rains back down on the plants in a miniature version of the water cycle.
As leaves die, they fall off and rot at the bottom producing the carbon dioxide and nutrients required for more plants to grow.

This is so damn cool.

Reblogging this to point out that I am totally open for commissions this semester, and that I currently only have one person in the queue. I’m totes open to negotiations about medium, also, so if you’re interested in, say, something done in marker or traditional brush inks, just let me know and we’ll figure something out.
Due to an oversight on my part, I’m a bit over budget this month, so now would be a really great time to buy a commission if you’ve ever considered it. If not, I’d really appreciate a signal boost! (ノ´∀`)ノ

will draw for food etc

Before anything we want to give a huge thank you to those that helped with Beta testing, giving us bug info, suggestions, and everything of the like. It’s been a pleasure chatting with you all and seeing your views, getting some insight into what everyone wants (We’re trying our best to keep up =P)All of you that helped out with Beta will be getting some special gifts in the very near future to thank you for helping us out, we really really do appreciate it. And we look forward to your, and everyone’s input as we continue on.We’ve decided that while we originally planned to stop our VIP and Blank Hat change freebies after Beta, we’ve decided to extend that til the end of October in order to give more people a chance to try out the features and prepare for after the freebies end. We’ve put up some voting Banners (You can vote on the main page here: http://www.proximityro.com/?module=vote) so you can help us out, help you out(more players!), and net you some useful items. You can see the Vote Shop in Prontera, just go down and left a bit from the center of the map, and into the building there. You’ll also find our Cash Shop there as we’ll be phasing out the site based Cash Shop (Don’t worry you aren’t losing out as a result, it just makes things easier all around). So what can we expect now that we’ve come out of Beta, well you might wanna peek at this wiki page here: http://wiki.proximityro.com/Casino and get your good luck charms ready. Halloween is coming up, and ghouls and goblins will be out to play before the end of the month! There have been whispers in the wind of various invasions, hopefully nothing too scary… Maybe you’re looking to raise up some monsters and see if you can’t beat other teams of monsters, for awesome prizes of course, then you might want to pay attention too!We have a lot of fun heading your way, and we are going over all the suggestions and you should see them all filled in the near future, so keep them coming because we can never have too many things to do, and we don’t want to have too few!Again, a huge thank you to everyone that’s been helping out so far, and we look forward to what we think will be a lot of fun now that we are out of Beta!

Having a grand time playing Torchlight II. Saw some cool headgears so, of course, I had to make a sprite version of at least one of them. Not a super precise copy but I think it works.

And suddenly the ‘pixel art’ tag has a number of homoerotic oekaki-like drawings. Not that I mind but, wat.

Just because it’s been done with an aliased tool doesn’t mean it’s pixel art.

benamas: thanks. the animations i have so far are a river layer over the riverbed, smoke coming out of the chimneys (particle), energy fields for the crystal monoliths, randomized lights in the windows of the purple house, and cloud shadows (maybe clouds). but you’re totally right, i should animate the goat (at least an idle), i also have some chickens that will be animated as well.

Oooh. That looks gorgeous! Love those houses and the bridge.

This has been sitting on my HD for a while now. It’s still a WIP. The idea was to add a bunch of monkeys (which are Ragnarok Online Yoyos by the way) around the Piper’s feet. —Indeed, he’s a variation of the Pied Piper, one of my favourite characters. Maybe someday I’ll actually get around to finishing this.

But I just really love pixel art, okay?

Something about it…just the way that you can go into fucking MSpaint or something similar and make such beautiful, video game-like, appealing-to-the-eye art that others try to do by purchasing huge programs like photoshop….is just simply lovely to me.

Why silly? There are quite a few people who love pixel art, enough to spend over 9000 hours on creating it. It’s an amazing art form.

Some practice stuff, unrelated to Ragnarok Online for once.

Okay. Leaves are really freaking tedious.
But I have finally decided on a nice blue/purple/green gradient for the trees and a shape for the clumps of leaves as WELL as what sort of texture I want on the ground. CC:

Looking good! Not sure about the choice of green in the trees, but I guess we’ll get to see how it turns out. —This needs to go into the Pixcellent Artists group as soon as you’ve submitted it to DA.
